About KidPower

What is KidPower?

KidPower is a company specializing in fostering mental well-being and emotional resilience in children through a unique teaching method called Creative Mindfulness for Children. We introduce mindfulness to children from a very young age in fun and creative ways. Children learn how to regulate their emotions, to calm and relax their minds, to focus and pay attention, to understand and express their thoughts and feelings, and to cultivate kindness for themselves and others through creativity, stories, meditation, visualization, art, and discussion.

Our Mission

If you’ve ever seen a child immersed in their play, you’ll know that children are mindful from birth. They don’t really need to be taught mindfulness, but they do need support to maintain and further develop mindfulness practices. The name KidPower comes from its clear mission to empower children with lifelong skills for mental well-being and emotional resilience through engaging and creative mindfulness practices. With the beautiful tool of the Creative Mindfulness method, we would like to help the children foster awareness, emotion-regulation, and self-compassion and support them in developing empathy, kindness (toward themselves and others), and emotional intelligence. If we can help one child improve his or her mental well-being, maybe one day this work will have an impact on a whole generation, and through that generation, this world might be a much better place to live in.

“Nothing can dim the light that shines from within.”

    About the Founder

The Founder of KidPower is Dora Majoros, who has an MSc in Psychology and an MSc in Special Education. She is an Accredited Creative Mindfulness for Children practitioner and trainer, a Cognitive Behavior Therapy practitioner, an ABA therapist, and she is completing her specialization in Cognitive Behavior Play Therapy. She had the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a Therapy Center in Italy and collaborating with an institute offering various therapeutic interventions for children. She has been based in Dubai since 2017, where she was working in the Inclusion Department of a primary school, supporting children with individual needs in identifying and overcoming their learning barriers. Dora truly believes that working with children is a privilege, and she has learned something very important from every single child she has had the honor of working with. She would especially highlight the blessing of being the mom of her two amazing children, who are making her life full of love, kindness, and compassion.
